I have two primary goals for my teaching. My first goal is to comprehensively equip my students to achieve their musical dreams, whatever those personal dreams are, and  my second goal is to teach in such a way that my students ultimately become their own best teachers.

I maintain a regular presence on-campus and serve as the academic advisor for horn students. My off-campus performing and teaching activities always fit within the framework of my primary focus on the CCM Horn Studio. In addition to horn instruction and performance preparation, I am excited by opportunities to guide scholarly research, mentor students for careers in academia, and network for the benefit of all of our students.

Horn-playing and musicianship fundamentals are stressed and lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each student.  CCM also offers up to 5 hours of varied horn studio classes each week (including excerpt class and horn choir), extensive audition preparation, and introduction to the natural horn and Wagner tuba. CCM ensembles offer fabulous programs of important horn repertoire, and chamber music opportunities abound.

Our studio believes strongly in a win-win philosophy, creating an atmosphere in which students work together for their mutual success. Please explore our studio site and Facebook page, where you can learn more about us as well as view performance videos of our Esprit de Cor Horn Choir.
